Optimal Stamping Window:
- Cold Process (CP) Soap: Stamp when the cut soap achieves a “medium-firm cheddar cheese” consistency—typically 24 to 72 hours after cutting, depending on water ratio and hard oil content. If too soft, the soap will stick; if too hard, it may develop micro-cracks around the lettering.
- Melt & Pour (MP) Soap: Stamp as soon as the soap bar has cooled and completely solidified.
The Cling-Wrap Anti-Stick Secret (Atelier Tip): Lay a single layer of ultra-thin plastic cling wrap over the face of the soap bar (or wrap the stamp head tightly) before pressing. This guarantees that moist soap never clings to intricate text cavities, leaving razor-sharp, pristine letter impressions with zero cleanup!
Clean Pressing Action: Position the stamp square on the bar. Apply perpendicular, even downward pressure using the palm of your hand or a rubber mallet with a single firm tap. Gently rock slightly side-to-side once and lift straight upwards.
